• Analyzed short range, long range and current NWP models to establish the forecast
• Built and constructed visual graphics to easily and clearly reflect the information predicted
• Participated in topical segments during the 4 pm newscast to communicate important topics to our audience including but not limited to community interviews and science advancements

• Participated in mandatory and volunteer community outreach programs, as well as conducted school talks for all ages

ABC and CBS affiliated news station's weekend meteorologist and weekday multimedia journalist.
•Formulated a forecast by analyzing and reviewing numerical weather prediction models and data
• Created weather graphics to add to animation to the weather story
• Presented the forecast during weekend evening newscasts
• Promoted the forecast and additional weather information on the station’s website as well as all social media accounts

Red Cross
A collaboration internship with Purdue's VACCINE center, the American Red Cross, and Purdue professors Megan Sap-Nelson, and Tim Filley and Mike Baldwin to investigate the efficacy of a tool developed by the by the Visual Analytics for Command, Control and Interoperability Environments that track, analyze, and monitor social media feeds to pinpoint disaster-caused damage in real time.
The goal was to ultimately help first-responders and relief agencies gain situational awareness immediately after a disaster or crisis with an emphasis on the analysis of data from severs storms in the Midwest and Great Plains. A code and an algorithm was created to automatically overlay social media content to the severe storm polygons issued during an event.
